The house is located on the edge of the small town of Chipping Campden, one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses, and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills and straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town has changed little over the years and is still the focus for much of the local rural community. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and an excellent range of shops selling local produce, gifts and antiques.
